1936-Rising Nations

The Great War ended on July 2, 1936.
In the end, the Habsburg and its allies won the long war of attrition on the European continent. A continent crossed by the trenches and destroyed by artillery.

France was attacked from all sides and finally defeated, forced to cede all its colonies in Africa to Spain.
The French governor in India, used the confusion to declare independence from the Union of India.
In North America, the colony of New France was liberated from the oppression of the metropolis to form the Kingdom of America.

Further south, the Viceroyalty of New Spain was fragmented into 4 independent states, Exhausted by war, the Habsburgs had to recognize the independence of these new countries:
The Republic of Rio Grande, Mexico, Aztlan, and the kingdom of California.

Stripped of his power and greatness, France ceded its position of great power to a new state, formed during the Great War. The Republic of Germany.

The riots in Southeast Asia and Oceania led to the birth of the united states of Oceania.
Japan quickly declared war on the new state, but suffered a surprising defeat in Guam, which led the emperor in Kyoto to make peace.

The Ottoman Empire, despite being the winning side, was almost about to disappear because of continued uprisings in all provinces of the empire.
Egypt gained its independence, and Ethiopia won territories south of the Horn of Africa.
Persia declared independence from their former oppressors, the Sunni Ottomans.
The Caliph of Constantinople clings desperately to what little is left.

The Habsburgs believe they have conquered the world, but will not be as absolute hegemony for a long time.
After the death without heirs of King Philippe IV, the Empire was engaged in a bloody war of succession.
